Specialized Field(s) History of Political Thought
Current Research Themes Taking the philosophy of Thomas Hobbes as its principal point of reference, my research examines political thought in seventeenth-century England and Europe, with particular emphasis on the relationship between politics and religion. From the perspective of the history of political thought, I also investigate war, realism, and liberal democracy.
