Doctoral Dissertation Evaluation Criteria

In accordance with the ideals and principles of the Program, doctoral dissertations will be evaluated by faculty of the Program and specially commissioned external examiners in line with the following criteria:

• Clarity of research objectives
• Suitability of handling of information and documentary sources
• Adequate consideration of previous scholarship in the field
• Sufficient knowledge of the field of specialty
• Suitability of analytical method and critical thinking
• Suitability of dissertation format and writing quality
• Clarity and consistency of the argument
• Academic significance
