Current Research Themes	My research focuses on the history of social and economic thought in modern Japan. By specifically highlighting Japanese economists and social policy scholars active in the empire's colonial and occupied territories, I aim to reconceptualize modern Japan's social sciences through the dual lens of Japan's relationships with Asia and Europe.
