The purpose of this database is to make available to the public complete digitalized text for Zen-related works of the medieval era. Currently it provides the full text of works below:
 Gidō Shūshin (1325–1388)  Kūge rōshi nichiyō kufūshū (Ryakushū,Besshō etc.);
 Kokan Shiren (1278–1346)  Jūzenshi roku;
               Zoku zenshi roku;
 Ryōsen Ryōzui (?-1364)   Kaizō oshō kinenroku
When publishing research (scholarly articles, etc.) or including citations in other works based on this database, please indicate the source as the “Nichibunken Medieval Zen Text Database.”
If errors or problems are encountered in the course of its use, please let us know at database*nichibun.ac.jp (Please replace * with @).
This database is a part of research results supported by JSPS KAKENHI(Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results).
Bugs with searching by record names have been corrected. (May 2021)
Searches by temple name can now be conducted through all data. Search results now also include a column displaying dates according to the Western calendar. (May 2021)
Separate extracts, fragmentary documents, and addenda have been added to Kūge rōshi nichiyō kufūshū. (May 2021)
