Along with socio-political change weapons could sometimes evolve being improved and sometimes degenerate being neglected. On the other hand their evolutions have caused an essential change for political structures. Nobody would doubt this thesis. However nobody has verified it scientifically. Indeed it could be unnecessary to examine the ""revolutionary"" influence of the appearance of guns as well as of cannons in the history. But even such a question concerning a very delicate influence of the improvement of an arrowhead on social change cannot be simply answered. And questions about the interactive relationship between socio-political conditions and the needs of evolution and development of weapons must be very carefully investigated. This project seeks a scientific analysis of this question by way of an interdisciplinary collaboration of social and technological sciences focusing on some archaeological and historical cases. By accumulating such case studies we expect to establish a method of simulation in virtual realities concerning the physical efficiency of certain improvements of weapons in archaeological as well as historical societies.
