The transposing of existing paradigms originating in a particular domain, to other forms of expression within various aesthetic and cultural domains has become a growing phenomenon. These recent boundary crossings and hybridizations will be the focus of this project. Diverse fields such as literature, art, music, architecture and others will be explored to define some of the processes in which new forms of expression are born. In particular, attention will be concentrated on the creators and producers of these expressions and the hybrid genres that result. It is hoped that this multifarious condition can be identified in a more concrete manner for deeper understanding.
