Vietnam and Japan have some similarities and have established their relationship firmly for a long time, though there have been many changes. Recently, the relations between two countries have developed in many fields, and it's said that a new era in Vietnam-Japan relation has emerged, particularly since 1975. What are the characteristics of these relations? Which factors have impacted the development of Vietnam-Japan relations? In the context of international and regional changes, what effect does the bilateral relationship have? What's its significance? The purpose of project is not only to analyze the special characteristics of Vietnam-Japan relations in context but also to point out positive and negative aspects in order to seek suitable ways of cooperation and exchange promoting bilateral relations and contributing to stability and peace in the region. To implement the project, authors will apply current research methods, analyzing, comparing, and summarizing available data. Apart from collecting and processing materials and documents, interviews and investigation will be used to make clear and concretize some aspects of the research. Discussions among the research group will also be based on video and film materials.
