Research Cooperation Programs
The Center conducts a variety of programs to promote
and assist Japan-related research.
Nichibunken Mokuyo Seminar
Conducted as a part of research cooperation activities,
the purpose of this seminar is to provide opportunities for researchers
to communicate with one another. Held the third Thursday of each
month.
Nichibunken Evening Seminar
This seminar, presented by foreign researchers in
English, covers a wide range of subjects relating to Japan. It is
intended for both Japanese scholars and scholars from abroad and
held the first Thursday of each month.
Mini Symposia
Scholars from other institutions and specialists
join Nichibunken faculty for presentations, reports, and discussion
on a particular theme.
Lectures
Guest speakers, from both Japan and abroad, are periodically
invited to present their research at Nichibunken.
Nichibunken Forum
A monthly lecture/discussion program in Japanese
by visiting scholars from overseas. Each Forum is complete in itself,
allowing the program to cover a wide range of themes relating to
Japan. Since 1987, the Forum's objective has been to provide foreign
researchers with the opportunity to present reports and to exchange
ideas with their counterparts in Japan.
